About Me
I was born and bred in St.Ives and my family goes back more than several generations here in St.Ives so I know the place pretty well.
I started my working life scooping ice creams on Porthmeor beach from there I was the pot washer in the Golden Lion Pub I went on to Cornwall College where I studied catering while working in town as a commis chef at the Pend Olva hotel, Tregenna Castle and Carbis bay Hotel after finishing my time at Cornwall college I continued my studies in France at Dinar Lycée Hotelier Catering college where I learnt to speak French from there I worked in a couple of Hotels in France before coming back.
I quickly shot off to Scillies and spent a couple of seasons working at the Star Castle Hotel before I moved to Bermuda and work at the Coral Beach Hotel and Private Tennis Club where I spent the best part of a year working.
When I came home I worked at the Chy an Albany which is now holiday flats which finished me off if I’m honest.
My brother-in-law set up a building company and gave me a carpenter’s apprentice which I am very grateful for as this took my life in different direction.
My Carpenter career has been Bleddy awesome, it took me back to Cornwall College where I retrained as a site manager for Roesmullion homes sadly they went bust in the recession of 2008.
Over the years I’ve worked in many holiday lets, fitting kitchens, hanging fire doors, building wine cellars as well as saunas plus I’ve managed to buy my own home as well as build another property of my own.
The time has come in my life to diversify again and for the last several years I’ve been a super-host on Airbnb and Willow Bungalow is a pet friendly holiday home tucked away at the back of Carbis Bay which you will see listed in the Holiday properties feel free to have a look and check out the rest of my site.

"I'm a man of many passions. By day, I'm a mild-mannered beekeeper, teaching the good people of St. Ives the art of apiculture. But by night, I'm a daredevil mine explorer, delving into the depths of the earth in search of adventure.
Here I am at the top of a Mine Shaft about to descend 60m down the shaft. It's an exhilarating experience, and I felt a deep connection to the history of mining. My father was a miner at South Crofty, so I've always had a fascination with the industry.
I'm also a history buff, so I love learning about the past. Mining history is especially fascinating to me, as it's a window into a bygone era.
So if you're ever in St. Ives, be sure to stop by and say hello. I'm always happy to share my stories and experiences and teach you about the wonderful world of bees."
